Novocure’s Optune Pax® Receives Approval in Japan for the Treatment of Unresectable Locally Advanced Pancreatic Cancer BAAR, Switzerland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Novocure (Nasdaq: NVCR) announced today that Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) approved Optune Pax® for the treatment of adult patients diagnosed with unresectable locally advanced pancreatic cancer, concomitant with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel. “The approval of Optune Pax provides a promising new treatment option for locally advanced pancreatic cancer, a disease with an urgent need for effective therapies,” said Makoto Ueno, MD, PhD, Director, Department of Gastroenterology, Kanagawa Cancer Center, Yokohama. “In the Phase 3 PANOVA-3 trial for Optune Pax, there was a statistically significant improvement in overall survival and pain progression was delayed, helping to preserve overall quality of life for people with this disease.”

$NVCR I suspect we will see shorts moving on. Business trending up, PAX better than expected and Japan is just over the horizon. Mets on the way. Time to grind higher

$NVCR added ~2500 today to top off share count to a nice round number. Perhaps a play on expected brain mets approval.

$NVCR If you look at WallSt Revenue estimation for the next few quarters, it is very low in my view. I don't see why the management can't deliver beat and raise for the next few quarters. This is one of the key reasons I feel comfortable holding the shares, and when share price goes down, I continue accumulating shares. I don't know how high it is going to go as Pax and Lua total potential is not established yet, but I do feel they may be bigger than original Head device.

$NVCR looks like we are heading toward the first real GBM competition with the SurVaxM data. Will be interesting to see if combinations are offered or if it’s a choice
