Bitcoin (BTC) has inched higher after weeks of sideways trading, but remains nearly 3% below its late-August high of more than $118,000 and 7%&nbsp;below its previous record&nbsp;of $124,000. At the time of writing,&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/BTC.X">Bitcoin’s price</a> had gained 0.5% in the last 24 hours, with retail sentiment on Stocktwits trending in ‘bearish’ territory over the past day.&nbsp;Ethereum (ETH), meanwhile, has pulled back after setting a fresh record of more than $4,900 last month, with traders eyeing $5,000 if policy signals turn dovish.&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/ETH.X">Ethereum’s price</a> fell 0.3% in the last 24 hours, trading at around $4,500 at the time of writing. Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) plummeted in early morning trade on Monday following a multimillion-dollar hack of Shiba Inu's layer-2 network, Shibarium.&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/DOGE.X">Dogecoin’s price</a> dropped over 9% in early morning trade, and the&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/SHIB.X">Shiba token’s price</a> fell nearly 7% in the last 24 hours. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around Dogecoin moved lower but remained in ‘extremely bullish’ territory with chatter at ‘extremely high’ levels over the past day. Meanwhile, retail sentiment around Shiba Inu trended in ‘neutral’ territory, accompanied by ‘high’ levels of chatter.According to Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya, Shibarium suffered a $2.4 million flash loan exploit on Sunday after an attacker briefly gained control of its validator system. While the start hasn’t been strong, it hasn’t reinforced September’s reputation as one of Bitcoin’s weakest periods either. Crypto exchange Coinbase Global (<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/COIN">COIN</a>) moved 0.75% higher.&nbsp;Other altcoins, including Cardano (ADA), Ripple’s native token (<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/XRP.X">XRP</a>), and meme token Dogecoin (DOGE), were in the green, led by Solana (SOL).&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/SOL.X">Solana’s price</a> gained more than 3% in the last 24 hours, while Cardano, XRP, and&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/DOGE.X">Dogecoin’s price</a> gained around 1.5% each. Solana holding Upexi (<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/UPXI">UPXI</a>), was up 3.34% in pre-market trade.The overall cryptocurrency market increased by 0.9% over the last 24 hours. Crypto futures bets saw around $246 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, according to Coinglass&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.coinglass.com/LiquidationData">data</a>.
