Just like any revolutionary technology throughout the past few hundred years, there’s huge public pushback and the companies on the forefront aren’t profitable early on. But, I think most everyone can agree that the US needs to be in front on this and if China, Russia, etc. beat us to it then it’s going to be game over. I know it’s ugly now, but this still feels like the top of the first in a nine inning game.

$CORZ On the 848 bitcoin they held at the end of June they should be recording a $16 million profit for the appreciation of those coins in Q3 if bitcoin holds around this level. Last quarter they had a $12 million loss on their bitcoin mining operation. This increase in the value of the coins held would wipe out that loss and also the mining metrics for the coins mined this quarter should be better to narrow that bitcoin mining loss. Add to that… I figure they should be bringing around 156 million in high margin revenue from HPC in Q3. As long as they keep expenses under control, they could turn a profit this quarter.

$CORZ Core Scientific initiated with an Overweight at Wells Fargo Wells Fargo analyst Eric Luebchow initiated coverage of Core Scientific with an Overweight rating and $28 price target. The firm views the company as the industry-leader in converting announced deals to operating megawatts. Core Scientific has a significant pipeline with AMD that should translate into incremental near-term leasing, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Well says the AMD lease diversifies Core's business and provides a reservation pipeline.

$CORZ Just because the datacenter is geared toward AI, normal everyday enterprise class server farms can just as easily be hosted. The plus side is the AI configured rack kw capacity far exceeds the power needed at the rack level for non-AI workloads. Even Equinox /Digital Realty are behind in the area of kw capacity at the rack. Stop being so short-sighted - the AI data centers are NOT one-trick ponies.
