Revenue came in at $6.06 billion, just a whisker's gap above the expected $6.03 billion.Block also raised its full-year 2026 guidance, now targeting $12.33 billion in gross profit, representing 19% growth, along with $3.85 in adjusted diluted EPS.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/XYZ/">XYZ’s stock</a> rose over 10% in pre-market trade, before trimming gains to around 8% at market open. Citi raised its price target to $100 from $85 and also kept a ‘Buy’ rating on XYZ’s stock, while Keefe Bruyette raised its price target to $90 from $85 and kept an ‘Outperform’ rating.The gap between Piper's $58 target and Citi's $100 target reflects a genuine disagreement on Wall Street over Block's AI-driven efficiency gains.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Jack Dorsey’s Bet On AI</h2>In the shareholder letter, Dorsey said the company is focused on building AI products that move beyond basic assistants. “Most AI products today are assistants or advisors: a human asks, AI answers,” Dorsey wrote. “We think the next step is AI that is proactive.”Cash App now includes “Moneybot,” while “Managerbot” is being deployed to more than one million Square sellers ahead of a broader U.S. rollout expected in June. According to Block, early engagement metrics showed Cash App users were five times more likely to return to Moneybot after taking a recommended action, while sellers who interacted with Managerbot sessions driven by insights returned at rates 33% higher than those of normal users.“You can imagine setting up agentic commerce and agents to purchase things on your behalf from your vendors because it's either on a regular basis or it's triggered by certain inventory or certain demand or certain trends,” Dorsey said.Beyond AI, monthly transacting actives on Cash App rose 4% year over year to 59 million users, while Primary Banking Actives increased 18% to 9.7 million. Inflows per transacting active climbed 10% to $1,494.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Bitcoin Weighs On Block’s Balance Sheet</h2>Despite the strong operational quarter, cryptocurrency-related accounting losses weighed on Block’s bottom line. The company recorded a $173 million Bitcoin remeasurement loss during the quarter.Block also continued expanding its Bitcoin-related services despite softer crypto trading activity. The company reduced Bitcoin transaction fees and expanded Square Bitcoin payments into retail and service businesses.The company framed the fee cuts as part of a broader strategy to make Block more competitive in digital asset payments. Iran Offers To Reopen Strait Of Hormuz, Delays Nuclear Talks, But President Trump Rejects Proposal: Report

Iran’s proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz as a strategy to ease tensions and lead to a larger accord with the United States. 

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Robinhood CFO Shiv Verma told Stocktwits that retail participation remains “healthy” despite the broader macro backdrop, with consistent user activity.</li><li>He added that April trading activity is tracking toward one of the strongest months in company history.</li><li>Verma said prediction markets are on track to hit $3 billion for the month.</li></ul>Robinhood (HOOD) CFO Shiv Verma told Stocktwits on Tuesday that while the stock price has fallen nearly 15% on missed first-quarter earnings, the company is “winning” when it comes to expanding its user base.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/HOOD">HOOD’s stock</a> fell as much as 14.5% in midday trade on Wednesday, wiping out April gains if the losses hold till market close. The downswing came after the company reported adjusted earnings of $0.47 per share for the first quarter (Q1) after market close on Tuesday, missing Wall Street’s estimate of $0.43, according to Koyfin data. Revenue came in at $1.07 billion, also below the consensus estimate of $1.13 billion.&nbsp;"Relative to consensus, we did come a little bit lighter," Verma told Michele Steele in an <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwsttL43vMw">exclusive interview</a> with Stocktwits. "Volumes are really healthy, but what was lower on the back end was the pricing."&nbsp;<blockquote>“We look at market share, and are we winning? Are we delivering value for customers? And everything we're seeing there is great.”&nbsp;– Shiv Verma, Chief Financial Officer, Robinhood</blockquote>However, he said the driver wasn’t weak demand but more active traders, who sit on lower pricing tiers, flooding Robinhood in greater numbers than casual investors. "That brought down the overall pricing," Verma said. "That's a good thing. That means customers are engaged, they're using the platform."<h2 class="st-heading-2">Robinhood’s Crypto Revenue Takes Biggest Hit</h2>The biggest drag on Robinhood’s quarterly earnings came from crypto. Transaction revenue from digital assets fell 47% year-over-year, dropping from $252 million to $134 million, as a crypto slump that began late last year extended into early 2026. Verma didn't dispute it, but he pushed back on what it means for the broader business.&nbsp;He said that net deposits came in at $17.7 billion, equivalent to a 22% annualized growth rate, adding that gold subscribers hit an all-time high. Verma also noted that banking pulled in over $2 billion in assets in its first full quarter as a product. "Retail is healthy," Robinhood CFO said. "Despite the macro backdrop, we saw really good engagement from retail."&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Q1 Was ‘Strange’ But April Is Better</h2>Verma added that April is tracking equity and options volumes at the highest month of the year, and on pace to be the second-best month in company history. Prediction markets, one of Robinhood's fastest-growing new products, are on track to hit $3 billion for the month and mark the second-highest month ever.
