Litecoin is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency created by Charlie Lee. It was created based on the Bitcoin protocol but differs in terms of the hashing algorithm used. Litecoin uses the memory intensive Scrypt proof of work mining algorithm. Scrypt allows consumer-grade hardware such as GPU to mine those coins.  Why Litecoin? Litecoin is a cryptocurrency that has evolved from Bitcoin after its own popularity in the industry, this alternative, or ‘altcoin’ has emerged to allow investors to diversify their digital currency package, according to Investopedia. Litecoin is one of the most prominent altcoins and was created by former Google employee and Director of Engineering at Coinbase, Charlie Lee. Litecoin was the first to alter Bitcoin and the most significant difference is that it takes 2.5 minutes for Litecoin to generate a block, or transaction, in comparison to Bitcoin's 10 minutes.  ‘While this matters little to traders, miners who use hardware to run Bitcoin's network cannot switch over to Litecoin. This keeps bigger mining conglomerates away from Litecoin because they cannot easily optimize their profits by swapping to another coin, contributing to a more decentralized experience. Litecoin also has bigger blocks, and more coins in circulation, making it more affordable and swift when transacting,’ Investopedia explained.  As explained above, Litecoin can transact a lot faster than Bitcoin, but there are also a number of other characteristics that investors need to know before trading. Litecoin can handle higher volumes of transactions because of the capability of transacting faster and if Bitcoin attempted to transact on the scale of its altcoin, a code update would be needed. However, Litecoin’s blocks would be larger, but with more ‘orphaned blocks'. The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks - this is theoretical in the case of both networks having the same hashing power.  Litecoin Technical Details: The transaction confirmation time taken for Litecoin is about 2.5 minutes on average (as compared to Bitcoin's 10 minutes). The Litecoin network is scheduled to cap at 84 million currency units.   Litecoin has inspired many other popular alternative currencies (eg. Dogecoin) because of its Scrypt hashing algorithm in order to prevent ASIC miners from mining those coins. However it is said that by the end of this year, Scrypt ASIC will enter the mass market.

The pharmaceutical giant now expects its fiscal 2025 revenue to be between $63 billion and $63.5 billion, up from its previous guidance of $60 billion to $62 billion.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/LLY">LLY’s stock</a> gained 3.7% in morning trade, with retail sentiment around the pharma giant on Stocktwits improving to ‘bullish’ from ‘bearish’ territory over the past day. Retail chatter increased to ‘high’ from ‘low’ levels.Lilly reported a strong international uptake for its products, rolling out Mounjaro earlier this year in markets including India, China, and Brazil. “We’re seeing global demand for this product,” the CEO said, adding that both Mounjaro and Zepbound have performed well in their early years, signaling the potential for sustained growth in the future.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Oral Pill Expansion</h2>In addition to its injectable therapies, Lilly is preparing to launch Orforglipron, a daily oral pill, which Ricks said has completed Phase 3 trials, with submission expected in Q4. It noted that while the reports do not necessarily prove the device caused the deaths, they help regulators and manufacturers flag potential risks.Hunterbook highlighted that one report described a 69-year-old man whose G7 sensor failed to provide readings, and a second involved a patient using the G7 with an automated insulin pump, whose inaccurate reading may have contributed to fatal ketoacidosis. The third report cited a woman who relied on the G7’s receiver alarms, which had been recalled days earlier for failing to sound properly.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Ongoing Scrutiny And Product Concerns</h2>The short seller stated that at least 13 G7 users have died since the device launched in 2023.&nbsp;It said that even the FDA issued a warning letter to Dexcom in March 2025 following a surprise inspection that revealed unauthorized design changes to a key component, which internal testing found inferior.&nbsp;Dexcom reportedly continued selling the device despite these findings. Dexcom Shares Slide After Short Seller Flags 3 Additional Deaths From G7 Devices

(UNH), which has been facing company-specific, macro, and geopolitical challenges, is scheduled to announce its quarterly results before the market opens on Tuesday.Stung by the headwinds,&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/UNH">UnitedHealth stock</a> is down more than 23% this year.<h2 class="st-heading-2">What Street Expects For UNH’s Q3</h2>According to the Fiscal.ai-compiled consensus estimates, UnitedHealth is expected to report adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.81 and revenue of $113.06 billion. While the consensus EPS estimate suggests a decline from the year-ago’s $3.57, revenue is expected to rise over 12% year-over-year (YoY).In a mid-September note, Morgan Stanley analyst Erin Wright said he came away from an investor dinner with the UNH management team incrementally positive. He noted that the management team, led by CEO Stephen Hemsley, oozed conviction in a turnaround, driven by Medicare Advantage (MA) and Optum Health improvement.Among the headwinds the company faces are higher medical loss ratios that have pressured margins, pricing,&nbsp;as well as operational mistakes in its MA and Affordable Care Act (ACA) businesses.&nbsp;It also faces criminal investigations into the MA billing practices, and the business practices of its&nbsp;Optimum unit, as well as other lawsuits for allegedly improperly denying claims.The company withdrew its full-year 2025 guidance in mid-May, replaced Andrew Witty as CEO with former CEO Hemsley, citing unexpected medical costs and challenges with its Medicare strategy. It, however, reinstated the annual guidance when it released its second-quarter results in late July. The current outlook calls for revenue of $445.5 billion to $448 billion and adjusted EPS of at least $16.<h2 class="st-heading-2">How Retail Is Positioned For Q3 Results</h2>Retail sentiment toward UnitedHealth stock flipped to ‘bullish’ by early Tuesday from ‘bearish’ a day ago. While lifting its price target to $409 from $317 earlier this month, Jefferies analyst David Windley said he sees upside for MA margins in 2026, thanks to assertive group repricing efforts. The analyst has a ‘Buy’ rating on the stock.Goldman Sachs initiated coverage of the UnitedHealth stock with a ‘Buy rating’ and $406 price target.
