Thursday pre-mkt Chat nuggets: $VTRS for $PCRX in the pain space a reminder of the appeal of unsexy areas of drug development $PROF - Playbook setup spiking, but I caution $2.5M of revenue was carried forward from Q2 (supposed to be last week of June) $NKTR - example of extreme swings in sentiment yet thesis intact, POD reversal trade incoming? Real-time Trades Channel, noticing quite a few people paring down to fewer but higher quality holdings to sleep better at night & navigate rough waters $XBI

Viatris sued Novo Nordisk in federal court in Delaware, asking a judge to rule that its planned generic version of Wegovy would not infringe Novo Nordisk’s patents. Mylan Pharmaceuticals, a Viatris subsidiary, filed the lawsuit Thursday, seeking a declaration that its generic product would not violate a patent covering Novo’s single-dose Wegovy injection pen for weight-loss treatment. Novo Nordisk generated nearly $31 billion last year from its semaglutide-based weight-loss drugs, Wegovy and Ozempic, according to company reports. Generic versions of the drugs are not expected to enter the U.S. market until 2032, when Novo Nordisk’s patents covering semaglutide, the active ingredient in both treatments, expire. Novo Nordisk has previously reached patent-litigation settlements with Mylan and other drugmakers involving proposed generic versions of Wegovy and Ozempic. $VTRS $NVO
