The company also posted an 89% revenue surge to $352 million in the quarter.<h2 class="st-heading-2">The SpaceX Boost For RILY</h2>Chairman and Co-CEO Bryant Riley highlighted during a call with investors that the company’s exposure to SpaceX boosted first-quarter results through gains in the value of carried interest tied to funds that own the aerospace company."You know, SpaceX, we didn’t really have nearly as high a year ago as it is today. You know, that’s on our books for over $50 million, Riley said, adding that it represented “a fair amount of cash,” in addition to higher investments.The financial services company recorded an $8.9 million increase in the market value of carried interest in its wealth segment, driven by its exposure to the aerospace company.
