$NLY Just a fun scenario, You buy with borrowed $ (assuming you have enough in your brokerage account) to buy $500K today worth of NLY. The brokerage charges you $60,000 annually for the borrowed shares, you gross $82,500 in dividends and net $22,500. Assuming the div remains the same and of course stock movement up or down etc., anyway just for fun. Bought 300 more today.

$NLY Bought 4k more shares this morning. I can be very happy with a 16% dividend and then some appreciation from these levels.

$NLY Hey TUTES!!! Take us down under my $18.08 average and I'll double down in the 17's. 🤣 61% tutes, short out retail because they don't like people like us to have "their share" of the +16.6% dividend PLUS the rip back up. They make $$ on the way down, then even more on the way back up after they load. Tutes are not always (rarely) on our side. Learn the game and make $$$

$NLY Grabbed some $18.38's today. This pullback is overdone and will correct eventually. I'll call 20+ (+8.8%) by December 1.

$NLY I know most of you here have no interest in long play stocks. Remember when these guys were trading around 14.50? Even then, the quarterly dividend was 0.65 — and if you DRIP like I DRIP, you can’t wait until they fall that low again!

$NLY If you compound the 16% annually for 5 years you get the stock for free (assuming non taxable) think about it....

$NLY I’m sure this price movement is directly related to me adding to my position yesterday. It’s very predictable

$NLY Ex dividend date haircut makes for a pretty enticing buy to add more shares! This is a great price to get in, and if you believe the rate cut Cycle will not last for long, a very good opportunity presents itself here.

$NLY is there an actual point of capitulation? Around this level the dividend is over 15% with great upside potential.

Annaly Capital) has operated through four major high interest rate and Federal Reserve tightening cycles since its IPO in October 1997.$NLY

$NLY easy to open a position here, probably some more downside on the table, but if you open a long term buy/hold and reinvest, you’ll be just fine

$NLY [email protected] I thought I was gonna miss it for sure. And now we’ll see. It’s got a drift way lower and then I got room for 3000 more. I mean way lower. I feel confident the economy. My storage space is out of space. We are getting orders and deliveries everyday in New York. Whoever says there’s a bad economy. It’s not a bad economy for me. My guys have been working overtime for the last three weeks.

$NLY It’s about earnings and what they say. I think the Fed isn’t going to raise again. So I’m going to buy my last 3000. I think earnings go well. Lots of puts at 21 Oct and Nov. If they cover this could rocket quickly.

$NLY Not making sense to me, hard to imagine anyone left unwinding their position considering the abnormally large volume the last 2 months? Short percentage is nominal.

$NLY buying the dividend today is foolish. You will lose your $.75 cents and the stock will decline more. 10 year treasury bill still will tick higher and another rate hike is evident. Gold star stock, in the worst of time to buy. Buy lower.

$NLY like the main man said, "it's not a big deal". After all all our losses are double inflation and taxes but to others it is their gain.

$NLY WTF happened? Some big whale dump? I see the reit sector has followed , but NLY is the goat, supposedly! Anybody?

$NLY Some thoughts; I find it surprising there were sellers taking a loss at nearly 15mo low on the recording date, so a loss of the dividend as well?! The block trade of 2.9+ million shares recorded just after the bell at the low. Did the mm's work it down all day to fill a pre-arranged priced order, pre-arranged auction? Either way..as to be expected, big money got the win....
