Jefferies highlighted key themes ahead of next week’s OCP Global Summit in San Jose, focusing on the shift to 1.6T networking, competition among Ethernet, UALink and NVLink, and the move toward 800V DC architectures. The firm named MACOM and Lumentum its preferred 1.6T plays, while viewing Credo’s ALC debut as potentially undervalued.
Jefferies expects Nvidia’s Oct. 12 keynote and sessions on 800VDC, power interconnects, liquid cooling and MGX to provide insight into opportunities for power semiconductors. It also sees Broadcom favorably positioned in DSPs and Nvidia’s NVLink Fusion as increasingly important to OCP’s open ecosystem.
AMD will be another key focus, with Helios shipments to customers including Microsoft expected by year-end. Marvell’s 100G/lane UAL switch is also expected to complete design this year. Credo is expected to showcase its microLED-based ALC technology, targeting distances of up to 30 meters.
