Work under the contracts will provide warfighters with capabilities to collect and process complex radio frequency (RF) signals, develop intelligence on the operational environment and support the joint targeting cycle - the process used to identify, prioritize and target assets. The prototype systems will support electronic warfare and offensive cyber operations, including capabilities for access and battle damage assessment.

$KTOS Kratos is a company I would love to own as a story and cannot justify owning as an investment at this price. The story - affordable mass production for a defense establishment that has run out of time - is plausible, and the numbers are not lying about the growth: 19% organic, a 1.3x book-to-bill, a $2 billion backlog. But value is not revenue. My base story gives Kratos a better-than-average defense margin and better capital efficiency than it has ever shown, and it is worth about $16; weight in the bear and bull stories and I get $20; let a hundred thousand versions of the future play out and fewer than half a percent of them get to $45.62. To pay today's price you have to believe Kratos becomes a $9 billion company with 15%+ margins and prime-like capital efficiency - a bull case plus a premium. I am not a seller of stories, but I am not a buyer of other people's certainty either. Recommendation: Overvalued - would not buy at $45.62; value zone below ~$20
