On Stocktwits, the retail sentiment around ETH remained in an ‘extremely bearish’ zone, while chatter stayed ‘normal’ over the past day.&nbsp;Broader geopolitical developments are also feeding into sentiment. Analyst Ted Pillows&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/TedPillows/status/2048325622783418414">noted</a> that “ETH is going sideways for now,” adding that “US-Iran peace talks have been canceled, which means next week will be very crucial.” He said a move above $2,400 could push Ethereum toward “$2,470 to $2,500 liquidity,” while a breakdown below $2,300 may lead to “a retest of $2,150 to $2,200 support level.”At the same time, technical patterns were contributing to the cautious outlook. CGT Trader, another crypto analyst,&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/CGT_Trader/status/2048318602428743883">said</a> that “price just printed a head and shoulders pattern on ETH with a descending neckline, a sign of particular weakness,” though he noted the setup was not yet confirmed. Before the surge, funding rates were deeply negative of 0.004%, indicating that a majority of traders were positioned short, the on-chain analyst reported. On Stocktwits, the retail sentiment around ETH remained in the ‘bullish’ zone, while chatter around it stayed in the ‘high’ levels over the past day.The price action followed&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/strait-of-hormuz-closed-again-by-iran/cZJ6sfMRIUM">reports</a> of progress in US-Iran negotiations and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to commercial vessels. Wainwright initiating coverage with a ‘Buy’ rating and a price target of $10.&nbsp;The firm said SharpLink Gaming has a “unique position relative to almost every other Ethereum accumulation company in the public sphere,” in a note to investors cited by TheFly. Companies listed on public markets focused on accumulating Ethereum (ETH) include only Tom Lee-backed Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) and The Ether Machine (ETHM).ETHZilla, which had pivoted to an Ethereum treasury last year, rebranded to Forum Markets&nbsp; (FRMM) last year with a new goal of tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs) instead of accumulating the leading altcoin. Bit Digital (BTBT), Coinbase Global (COIN), Galaxy Digital (GLXY), and Bullish (BLSH) also have Ethereum on their balance sheets, alongside other cryptocurrency tokens.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/SBET">SBET’s stock</a> dropped over 2% in pre-market trade, dragged lower by the selloff in the cryptocurrency market. Wainwright analyst said that SharpLink Gaming carries no debt and has a full balance to borrow against. The firm said it believes the company is at a “unique inflection point.”<h2 class="st-heading-2">SharpLink Gaming VS Bitmine Immersion Technologies</h2>SharpLink Gaming is the second-largest corporate holder of Ethereum, after Bitmine, with around 868,699 ETH on its balance sheet, according to CoinGecko data. Unlike Bitmine, SharpLink Gaming has been more conservative about its Ethereum purchases. Bitmine announced on Monday that it has made its largest weekly purchase of the year, of over 71,000 Ethereum (ETH).&nbsp;Bitmine now holds 4,803,334 ETH, which accounts for about 3.98% of the altcoin’s total circulating supply. It has staked around 3,334,637 Ethereum, worth around $7.1 billion. Meanwhile, SBET has staked the entirety of its treasury to generate returns. The Nonprofit That Helps Run Ethereum Stakes A Record $46 Million Worth Of ETH

The Ethereum Foundation staked a record 22,517 ETH, worth about $46 million, marking its largest staking move since announcing its strategy pivot in late 2025.

The fund surpassed $261 million in assets under management in its first week. ETHB launched with $100 million in seed capital and has since seen inflows of around $160 million.&nbsp;Early traction has placed it among the fastest-growing Ethereum-based investment products. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/JSeyff/status/2032204440082460707">said</a> that the staked Ethereum had reached $15.5 million in trading volume on the day of its launch. Things may get less secure, but the overall network will keep running.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">The 5 North Stars For Ethereum</h2>The document’s inception was at an Ethereum Foundation workshop in January 2026, according to Drake. He said the name combines “strawmap” and “roadmap,” acknowledging that drafting a proposal to satisfy stakeholders in a decentralized ecosystem is “effectively impossible.”&nbsp;The strawmap is centered around five “north stars” as its technical objectives, according to Drake. The first of which is a "fast L1," which targets short slots and finality in seconds. The second is "gigagas L1," which aims to reach a transaction speed of 1 gigagas per second via zkEVMs and real-time proving.&nbsp;The third target is "teragas L2," looking to hit 1 gigabyte per second of data bandwidth, or 10 million transactions per second. For Bitcoin, this was the first time this year that daily net inflows topped $500 million.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Bitcoin ETF Demand Rebounds After Five-Week Slump</h2>According to data from SoSoValue, Bitcoin spot ETF inflows stood at $560 million so far this week, after over $500 million came in on Tuesday. BlackRock’s&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/IBIT">iShares Bitcoin ETF</a> (IBIT) led the gains, accounting for around $300 million of the total, followed by the&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/GBTC">Grayscale Bitcoin Trust</a> (GBTC) at around $100 million.On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around IBIT remained in ‘bullish’ territory over the past day, while retail sentiment around GBTC continued to trend in the ‘bullish’ zone. Both funds were down over 1% each in after-hours trade as Bitcoin pared its gains.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/coins/bitcoin">Bitcoin’s price</a> was trading at around $68,000 on Thursday morning, down after crossing the $69,000 on Wednesday, but still up 4.1% in the last 24 hours. The&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/FETH">Fidelity Ethereum Fund</a> (FETH) led gains with over $60 million of capital coming in, followed by the&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/ETHE">Grayscale Ethereum Fund</a> (ETHE) clocking around $34 million in daily net inflows.&nbsp;Retail sentiment on Stocktwits around FETH remained in ‘bearish’ territory with chatter at ‘high’ levels over the past day. Retail sentiment around ETHE, however, improved to ‘bullish’ from ‘neutral’ territory over the past day but saw ‘low’ levels of chatter.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/coins/ethereum">Ethereum’s price</a> climbed as high as $2,100, paring gains and holding ground above $2,000, still up by 7.7% in the last 24 hours and outperforming Bitcoin. Bitcoin ETF Inflows Top $500M For First Time This Year, On Track To Break Record Outflow Streak

Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs are on track for their first week of net inflows after five straight weeks of outflows – the longest on record.

Bloomberg reported in late January that Brevan Howard’s $1.4 billion Fixed Income fund would shut to external capital by the end of June, a development that drew market attention amid elevated ETF trading activity.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Record IBIT Trading Sparked Initial Scrutiny</h2>Previously, BitMex co-founder Arthur Hayes said that banks were hedging positions linked to the IBIT ETF, which is why Bitcoin sold off. He brought up Morgan Stanley's "structured note" associated with IBIT, which is essentially a bank wager on Bitcoin. In order to safeguard themselves, these banks had to sell as soon as Bitcoin’s price tanked.Positions in highly leveraged IBIT ETFs had to unwind on Thursday, when the ETF posted record trading volume and elevated options turnover.
