Both compete in areas like Ethernet switches, optical technologies, and AI data center networking gear – Marvell more as a chip and semiconductor supplier.While Marvell￼ also sells enabling silicon to OEMs, Cisco is more focused on end-to-end networking systems and enterprise hardware and software. They overlap most in AI networking and cloud data center buildouts, but Cisco has a much broader enterprise networking business.AMD held 65,516 million shares of Marvell as of the end of March, it disclosed in an exchange filing late Tuesday. The company reported $1.9 billion in AI infrastructure orders from hyperscalers, compared with $600 million in the year prior. Year-to-date orders from hyperscalers have already exceeded the $5 billion target Cisco had set for all of fiscal 2026.Profit in the quarter jumped to $3.37 billion, up from $2.49 billion in the corresponding quarter last year.Cisco now expects $62.8 billion to $63 billion in revenue this fiscal year, which ends in late July,&nbsp; up from a forecast in February for $61.2 billion to $61.7 billion. More importantly, the company said its AI-augmented networking offerings are seeing healthy demand and raised the revenue growth target for its network infrastructure segment to 12% to 14% for this year, up from the previous forecast of 6% to 8%."As a result, we are currently tracking somewhat above the ⁠mid-point of ​our full year financial outlook of 2.0 billion to ​2.5 billion euros in comparable operating profit," CEO Justin Hotard said at the time.A series of moves last year had set Nokia on a growth path.
