$TRU Wall Street is 38 dollars apart on TransUnion. Friday, Goldman cut its target to 68 from 77 and stayed neutral. The same day, Morgan Stanley restated overweight with a 106 target, saying the risks around the company's bi-merge transition look limited. The spread math: 106 is about 56 percent above 68. The Street average sits between them at 92.75, a Moderate Buy. The tape picked a side for now: a new 52-week low Wednesday, touching 61.79 and closing near 64.40. The dispute underneath is whether the mortgage bi-merge transition breaks the pricing story. Morgan Stanley says the risk is contained. Goldman is cutting anyway. Tracking into the Oct 27 print.

$TRU TransUnion fell to a new 52-week low after Goldman Sachs cut its target to 77 from 89. Note what the cut actually says: Neutral kept, and 77 is still roughly 20% above where the stock trades. The rest of the Street is nowhere near that bearish. Ten analysts rate it Buy, six Hold, and the consensus target is 94.25, about 46% upside from here. Morgan Stanley is at 106, Wells Fargo at 102. The tape says 52-week low; the median analyst says 46% upside. One of them is reading this wrong.
