A new Reuters report published today, October 6, materially raises the urgency around the exact Bundibugyo Ebola strain targeted by Soligenix’s pending CEPI proposal. Reuters reports the outbreak has grown to more than 8,200 confirmed cases and 4,000 deaths and describes it as the fastest-spreading Ebola outbreak on record. The report also says reduced U.S. involvement has weakened support for vaccine development and outbreak logistics. This is not a Soligenix award announcement, so I classify it as 🟠 NEW PUBLIC ASSOCIATIVE DEVELOPMENT, not a direct SNGX catalyst.
