$NOC I bet my left nut that Northrop won FA/XX Boeing already has f47 they'll use similar engine developed by P&W but only this way they can improve the defense industrial base by spreading out because Boeing can't supply both fighters at the same time. Too much backlog Navy will need to wait for 10+ years. They're still making F35Cs

$NOC bounced to about 483 this morning after closing Monday at 476.11, its lowest close since May 2025, following heavy selling last week (Friday traded about 3.5x normal volume). It's still well under a falling 50-day near 537 and a falling 200-day near 598. A bounce isn't a turn to me, so I'm not interested until it gets back above that 50-day.

RBC Capital Markets downgraded Northrop Grumman to Sector Perform from Outperform and cut its price target to $525 from $640, citing more limited upside to defense spending and growth prospects beyond fiscal 2027. Analyst Ken Herbert said roughly 6% annual revenue growth from 2026 through 2028, in line with peers, represents a best-case scenario. RBC believes Northrop is less exposed to international sales and expects slower defense-budget growth after FY2027 to constrain upside. Its model assumes low-single-digit real growth in defense spending from FY2028 through 2031, with increasing crowding-out risk. Following Boeing's F/A-XX fighter win, RBC sees Northrop's main growth opportunities shifting toward the B-21 bomber, space portfolio and potentially solid-fuel rocket motors, although each would require additional investment. $NOC NGAD award literally doesn't matter. NOC reported a backlog of 40-60bil last annual shareholders meeting....

$NOC down about 4.3% premarket, 504.61 to 483.11, the other side of the same news. boeing beat northrop for the navy's f/a xx fighter. the loser moved more than the winner, 4.3% against 2.7%. thin premarket though, bid ask is 483 by 490, so treat that print as a rough indication and not a real price. losing one competition is not the whole business, northrop still builds the b 21 bomber.
