$MNOV — This one has a very straightforward upcoming catalyst. The blinded portion of the 234-patient COMBAT-ALS Phase 2b/3 trial is finished and MNOV is moving through database lock and analysis. Topline MN-166 ALS results are expected by year-end. For a biotech this size, that’s the kind of binary event that can completely change the valuation.

$MNOV — COMBAT-ALS is the entire focus here now. All 234 patients have completed the blinded portion of the Phase 2b/3 MN-166 study and the company has moved into database lock and analysis. Topline ALS results are expected by year-end, giving MNOV a very clear upcoming binary catalyst.

$MNOV Everything points to a massive MN-001 data drop for $MNOV this Monday in US Pre-Market! Why? Management speaks at the ROTH Conference on Tuesday—no way they voluntarily sit in front of critical investors with bad data in their pockets. And a "Friday bad news dump" tonight? Highly unlikely due to the dual listing in Japan (Tokyo Exchange); regulations simply wouldn't allow that unfairness. The Q3 timeline is intact and the chance of success is biochemically solid. $MNOV TSE is closed until tomorrow. Historically MNOV likes to release data predominantly on Mondays and Thursdays. During the HC Wainwright Investor Conference, the CEO reaffirmed the timeline to deliver the data by the end of Q3. Five more trading days left.

$MNOV I'm expecting data Monday AM, likely MN-001. If there is an improvement in NAFLD/NASH, this will really move.

$MNOV — This biotech has a major catalyst approaching. The final patient has now completed the blinded portion of the 234-patient Phase 2b/3 COMBAT-ALS trial of MN-166. Management says the focus has shifted to database lock and analysis, with topline ALS results expected by year-end.

$MNOV The volume is comically low now. I wonder if this will track up like it did on the TSX. I can't imagine big wallets staying away on the eve of a data release. The stock has been hedged. The institutes purchased $2.5 puts in bulk earlier in the week in case the data don't meet their endpoints. It's fait accompli that they will meet their lowering of baseline TRIGs. The company's gamble rests on the CAP score. They saw meaningful data in their animal model, but those animals are quickly put on a high fat diet and then given drug, whereas in the real world application, folks who are T2D, high TRIGs, and NASHy, have been abusing their bodies for decades. The company saw a massive decline in the T2D candidates and honed their cohort. 50% is no joke. Their p value was the joke at 0.098 though. Unfortunately, in this trial because of the sample size, only a few non-responders could break the study outcome, but $7 is quite tangible if the data are what they need to be. Good luck all.

$MNOV Reauthorization of ACT for ALS is now approved by congress. Cheers to ALS community and the environment for ALS drug developers like MNOV is getting more favorable. Just in time for MN-166.

The key now is the detailed dataset and whether a responder population emerges. Tomorrow’s ROTH conference could provide important color, with further analyses potentially coming soon.
