What do you think is the biggest threat AI poses?

It’s already created millions of jobs and will create millions more just like every breakthrough technology in human history. Losing control is Hollywood not real life. Too many now cannot tell the difference.

Better question is why the Republican party wants to race towards socialism as fast as they possibly can while calling the Dems socialist? Its embarassing that people cant even see that. MAGAts really have no brains at all.

I think “loss of human oversight and control” is a valid concern, and not even because of some AI going rogue because it is sentient, or has any kind of powers resembling volition. I’m worried that because things like social media exist today as a result of technology and how that has introduced a lot of new problems (and obviously there have been benefits) and it’s proving challenging to regulate how it’s used when people appear to abuse it. Do we have that in hand? I don’t think so. Just look at how media companies can just be altogether black balled because anyone can just start a social media platform. Would we have been able to do that 20 years ago? People would have perceived it much more negatively when there were no other and so many other alternative sources of scale. What capabilities will AI enable just individual people to do that they might not have otherwise done that could be dangerous. Generative AI could allow a lie told a 1000 times to become true.
