What do you expect the Fed to decide at its FOMC meeting? Drop a comment with when you expect the first cut/hike to be.

The Fed's July 28-29 meeting has markets debating a hold versus a hike, not a cut, with CME FedWatch pricing roughly a 65% chance of no change and rising odds of a September rate increase amid inflation running well above the 2% target. What do you expect the Fed to decide? Drop a comment with when you expect the first cut/hike to be.

Warsh is a Trump puppet. If he can't drop interest rate, he'll just hold and keep telling everyone he's running research task forces, each looking into various aspects of what's wrong with the US. Expect more of these shenanigans. Keeps Warsh from needing to hear the volley of vitrol his predecessor was subjected to. Smart guy.

Warsh will never raise rates now. Especially before midterms and especially not to do anything against his boss right now.

how are 15% on cut? 😂 2/3’s odds hold rates steady and that’s exactly what will happen (1/3 odds .25 rate hike). Warsh doesn’t want to raise rates. No August meeting, so there is a long break until September where odds currently favor a rate hike. A lot of time for anything to change until then.

1 hike after dems win midterms, nothing before that

they'll have to cut but in doing so they'll only worsen the macro situation. This will be purely political and catch everyone by surprise. IMO

Cut this time around isn't even in the equation. A hike still has a puncher's chance. So many of us like S&G were poor boys once, well sans Potus. youtube.com/watch?v=sstgcbG...
